Where you wouldn't expect it, hidden behind a row of ancient oaks, you will find this modern 'glass' country house from 2013. The architect's brief was to design a sturdy and transparent house for this unique spot, where light, space and nature come together.

Sunlight meets architecture.
It resulted in a beneficial place where every day feels like a Sunday: with spacious terraces and luxurious lounge areas where you can completely unwind. Where eating outside is more natural than inside. The veranda near the kitchen, for instance, is equipped with a double fireplace and a summer evening dinner under the roof-trees quickly takes on an Italian flavour. First a refreshing dip in the pool? Or finish off with a relaxing sauna session? Anything goes. No day is the same anymore.

Master retreat.
Daylight penetrates deep into the house while the high sun is blocked by a clever interplay of solar control glass, generous overhangs and shutters. Indoor sightlines - up to 34 metres - offer a different perspective each time. Uniquely, each room can be accessed in several ways, so you can always take a different 'road'. Upstairs are two (children's) bedrooms with a luxurious bathroom and separate toilet. And then there is the master retreat: a lovely bedroom suite with its own walk-in closet, freestanding bath, walk-in shower and separate toilet. From bed - every morning - you have fantastic views. A free day might start with a coffee on the adjoining loggia.

High-end luxury.
The quality of life in this place also translates to absolute privacy. At the same time, high-tech home automation watches over your safety and comfort. The underfloor heating is adjustable for each room. Lighting and sound boxes are partly built-in and the 'garden room' is equipped with a TV complete with subwoofer and sound bar. The swimming pool is equipped with smart technology and the exterior blinds disappear into the overhang. The high-quality finish is always a combination of only the very best and durable materials. For example, the window frames are made of Accoya wood and solar panels provide all the electricity needed.

Countryside.
On the pool side is a self-contained, very complete living unit with its own parking space. Useful for lodgers, as a B&B or perhaps for a live-in parent. Children can romp endlessly, climb trees and grow up with animals. Besides the already present deer, hares and rabbits, there is also room for sheep, goats, chickens or perhaps a Haflinger. You can pick your organic fruit in the orchard with old Dutch fruit varieties. Grow your own tomatoes and courgettes in the greenhouse.

Castle village.
Delden has been linked to the Twickel estate and surrounding countryside for centuries. The proximity of the castle, the water tower and the vast estates does something to the, already charming town. There is an extensive culinary offer. There are fine specialty shops and - still - a bakery, butcher and greengrocer. There is a train station and within five car minutes you are on the A1/A35 towards Amsterdam. Hengelo, with its secondary schools and rich cultural offering is eight kilometres away.

Good to know: The current residents are leaving for abroad. If you want, you can also take over some movable property.
